Description

A moist and fluffy apple mug cake made in just minutes, perfect for a quick dessert or snack. This single-serving cake combines tender apple pieces with warm cinnamon and vanilla flavors, all cooked conveniently in a mug.

Ingredients

Scale

4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup peeled and diced apple (about 1 small apple)
1 tablespoon chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

In a microwave-safe mug (at least 12 oz capacity), whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
Fold in the diced apple pieces and chopped walnuts if using, distributing them evenly throughout the batter.
Microwave the mug on high power for 90 to 120 seconds. Start checking at 90 seconds by inserting a toothpick into the center; if it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, the cake is done. If not, microwave in additional 10-second increments until cooked through.
Allow the mug cake to cool for 2 minutes before eating. Enjoy directly from the mug or transfer to a plate.
