A quick and delicious Air Fryer Shrimp Teriyaki recipe featuring perfectly cooked shrimp coated in a savory homemade teriyaki sauce. Ready in under 30 minutes, this dish is perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner or a flavorful appetizer.
Ingredients
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Place the shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 7-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
While the shrimp cooks, prepare the teriyaki sauce. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
Heat the saucepan over medium heat until the mixture begins to simmer.
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Slowly whisk the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan.
Continue cooking and stirring until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Once the shrimp are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the shrimp and toss to coat evenly.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the shrimp before serving.
