Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
Drain excess fat from the cooked ground beef.
Transfer the browned ground beef to the slow cooker.
Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, beef broth, tomato sauce, chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the slow cooker.
Stir all ingredients together until well combined.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, stirring halfway through cooking.
After cooking, stir the mixture again and adjust seasoning if needed before serving.
