Description

1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 large egg
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, rolled oats, egg, chopped fresh parsley, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
Mix all ingredients gently with your hands or a spoon until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty about 3/4 inch thick.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the beef patties to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the patties are browned and cooked through.
Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for 3 minutes before serving.
