Air Fryer Chicken Breast with Pesto

Description

Juicy and flavorful chicken breasts cooked to perfection in the air fryer, topped with fresh basil pesto for a quick and delicious meal.


Ingredients

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 6 ounces each)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup fresh basil pesto


Instructions

Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
Brush both sides of each chicken breast with olive oil.
Season both sides of the chicken breasts evenly with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they do not overlap.
Cook the chicken breasts in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 14-15 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove the chicken breasts from the air fryer and let them rest for 3 minutes.
Spread 2 tablespoons of fresh basil pesto over each chicken breast before serving.
