Description
A quick and healthy take on classic sesame chicken, balanced with fresh broccoli and a light, flavorful sauce.
Ingredients
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 cups broccoli florets
2 tablespoons sesame oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until lightly browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add broccoli florets and a splash of water; cover and steam for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
Return chicken to the skillet.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and cornstarch slurry.
Pour sauce over chicken and broccoli, stirring constantly until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top before serving.
