Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
24 ounces marinara sauce
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
Instructions
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.
Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the chicken breasts.
Sprinkle the dried Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper over the sauce.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
Carefully remove the chicken breasts from the slow cooker and place them on a serving plate.
Stir the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil into the sauce in the slow cooker.
Spoon the marinara sauce over the chicken breasts before serving.
Serve hot over cooked pasta, rice, or your favorite side dish.
