Ingredients

Scale

1.5 pounds beef sirloin, thinly sliced into strips
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large green bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 large red bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 medium yellow onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the beef strips and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned on all sides but not fully cooked. Remove from heat.
Place the sliced green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and onion in the bottom of the crock pot.
Add the minced garlic on top of the vegetables.
Place the seared beef strips over the vegetables in the crock pot.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt.
Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables in the crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
About 15 minutes before serving, mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl until smooth.
Stir the cornstarch slurry into the crock pot to thicken the sauce.
Cover and cook on high for an additional 15 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
Stir well and serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
