Description

Ingredients

2 pounds beef chuck roast, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 medium onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups beef broth
1 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
8 ounces wide egg noodles
2 tablespoons olive oil


Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add beef cubes and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes.
Transfer browned beef to the crock pot.
In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Add sautéed onion and garlic to the crock pot.
Pour beef broth and water into the crock pot.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, dried rosemary, black pepper, and salt.
Cover and cook on low for 5 hours.
After 5 hours, add the wide egg noodles to the crock pot and stir gently to combine.
Cover and continue cooking on low for an additional 1 hour, or until noodles are tender and beef is fork-tender.
Stir gently before serving.
