Air Fryer Shrimp with Shell On

  • Total Time: 18 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Description

A quick and easy recipe for perfectly cooked shrimp with the shell on using an air fryer. This method locks in flavor and keeps the shrimp juicy with a crispy exterior.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound large shrimp with shell on, deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 lemon, cut into wedges

Instructions

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Add the shrimp with shell on to the bowl and toss well to evenly coat all the shrimp with the seasoning mixture.
Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry the shrimp at 400°F (200°C) for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even crisping.
Remove the shrimp from the air fryer and transfer to a serving plate.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over the shrimp.
