8 ounces elbow macaroni pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup canned tomato sauce
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
Drain the pasta and set aside.
In the same pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
Pour in the tomato sauce and stir to combine with the garlic.
Add the heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and dried basil to the tomato sauce. Stir well and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Add the cooked pasta back into the pot with the sauce. Stir to coat the pasta evenly.
Remove the pot from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
